However, NFTs are now in the midst of a bare market, seeing searches for \u201cAre NFTs Dead\u201d skyrocket by 114% in the past year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"ca-widget\" data-token=\"k8f5c9ac62a4\"><\/div><script async defer src=\"https:\/\/secure.money.com\/embeds\/embedder.js?v=1\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">By analysing over 73,000 NFTs listed on NFTScan, as well as the top 8,000 NFTs listed on CoinMarketCap, dappGambl can conclude how many NFTS have a market cap and floor price of $0 as well as how many collections have been left unsold and are now classed as \u201credundant\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Only 5% Of NFTs Have A Market Cap Above $0&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Of the 73,257 NFT collections identified on NFTScan, an eye-watering 69,795 of them have a market cap of 0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.valuewalk.com\/searches-for-ethereum-merge-skyrocket-by-4900\/\">Ethereum<\/a>. This means, 95% of the current NFT market is now considered worthless, leaving only 5% of the market holding any type of value.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Also, of the collections identified, only 21% had 100%+ ownership, meaning that 79% of all NFT collections (4 out of 5) have remained unsold.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(7, 55, 99)\">18% of Top NFTS Have A Floor Price Of $0 And Are Considered &#8220;DEAD&#8221;<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">The NFT market is full of many \u201cdud\u201d investments, so to analyse the market fairly dappGambl also analysed the top 8850 collections on CoinMarketCap to get a better snapshot of the market.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1107\" src=\"https:\/\/www.valuewalk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/NFTs.jpg\" alt=\"NFTs \" class=\"wp-image-2473117\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.valuewalk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/NFTs.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/www.valuewalk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/NFTs-300x208.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.valuewalk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/NFTs-768x531.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.valuewalk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/NFTs-1536x1063.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">In the top NFT market, 18% of collections have a floor price of zero indicating that a significant portion of even the most prominent collections are struggling to maintain demand. <\/span><br \/><span data-ogsc=\"black\"><br \/>The study also showed that the majority of NFTs are valued between $5-$100 &#8211; making up 41% of the market whilst less than 1% of these NFTs boast a price tag of over $6,000.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"red\">*It\u2019s important to note that more collections are also likely considered \u201cdead\u201d than stated above as many valued themselves in the millions despite seeing all-time sales at less than $20. This discrepancy between listed floor prices and actual sales exposes inflated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.valuewalk.com\/what-is-supporting-current-market-valuations\/\">valuations <\/a>that don&#8217;t reflect genuine buyer interest or real-world transactions whereby they can also be considered &#8216;dead&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experts Believe NFTs Have A Future But They Need Real Use Cases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(17, 85, 204)\">Vlad Hategan<\/span><\/strong><strong><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(17, 85, 204)\">, e<\/span>xpert at <span data-ogsc=\"rgb(17, 85, 204)\">dappGamb<\/span>l<\/strong> comments on the future of NFTs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u201cThe recent analysis of the NFT market, conducted by our team, revealed that 79% of all NFT collections have remained unsold whilst 95% of NFTs have a market cap of $0 ETH.
